W/N - Curse or Blood?
My PvE W/N has now come to the point where I need to make the decision: Should I rely on Blood Magic or Curses to suppliment my skills?
Thoughts? |

blood can help you to keep your life up, so if your soloing or in a small group, that will help, or just to help the monk out, it would be good too, there are some good curses though, there is an elite called spiteful spirit, that is AWESOME, i used it for a long time on my warrior, death was good too, try soul feast and putrid explosion, soul feast exploits corpses to keep you alive, and putrid cause MASSIVE damage if you got it leveled up, way more damage than you will be doing with your melee attacks.

Probably one of the best skills in guild wars is well of power,
Well of Power {Elite} - Spell Exploit target corpse to create a well of power at that location. For 8-18 seconds, allies within 39' of the Well of Power gain health regeneration of 1-5 and energy regeneration of 2. And seeing as there is no other way in the game to get more energy regen besides Blood Ritual, the fact your group can stand near you and get nice energy regen, stack that with blood ritual and theoretically 1 person can get 5 energy regen and the rest can get 2. |

Do Curses, I use Mark of Pain on one enemy and then pound him to death, while all the enemies around me are dropping like flies. Its very funny and useful. Oh and I'm using a Hammer, not sure if that helps.

Well of power is good, but not a skill a warrior should bring. W/N should go curses for skills like barbs, mark of pain, weaken armor, and other skills that suppliment your warrior primary.

I like blood better, I use it so steal health and give it to myself. It is my only healing skill (besides aura of restoration). I am a E/N.

So should a warrior/necro use a hammer or a one handed weapon? If I use a hammer I can't use an idol or something that increases my energy. Thoughts? I am using blood magic for now as it keeps me alive longer while killing my opponent. I imagine that I will be using more curses or death magic in larger PvP battles as I would expect the Monk to do his/her job.

Thanks, lots of help.
Many different views given so it doesnt help me follow a majority - but the ideas will help me make my choice. Personally I'm looking forward to getting Plague Signet (?) - so I think Ill stick with Curses for a while. |

It all depends on what you want to do with your toon. I would not use putrid cause with out soul reaping you wont get a chain putrid or anything. I would go curses cause you can solo and be helpfull in a group
